from top to bottom: library, brother's bookshelf, amazon, amazon, library
Crammed schedules during the school year allow for little to no spare time, and such spare time is often spent either taking naps, hanging out with friends, watching TV, or using the computer. Literature outside of our assigned schoolwork is forgotten in a haze of studying and socializing. While some high schoolers like myself genuinely try to read while school is in session, it is very difficult. Instead, I amass huge lists of book titles that I want to read eventually.
But finally, it's summer. I have as much free time as I want to have, and I can spend part of it reading books! I'm not sure if these are all the books I'm going to read this summer, but I will read them for sure. They are:
- The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut (I'm almost done with this one!)
- Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
- Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
- The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
- Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
- The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (not pictured; summer reading)
I'm really looking forward to reading these! What will you be reading over the summer? Catch you on the flipside.
